Frequently asked questions
How do I create an account?
Open Dina and follow the welcome screen. Choose the sign-in option shown in the app, such as Sign in with Apple, and complete the authorization with your Apple Account if prompted. Then add your city, nickname, photo, bio, and taste preferences. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
How do I sign in on a new device?
Install Dina and choose the same sign-in method you used before. Your account data is loaded from the service. Do not create a second account for the same person, because records and conversations are tied to the account you use.
How do I save and organize restaurants?
Save a place from Explore or a restaurant detail page. Choose Want to go, Been there, or Maybe later, then add an optional priority and a private note. Each restaurant has one saved entry. Search, filter by cuisine, and sort by recent or priority in the Saved tab.
How do I record visits and create a poster?
Open a saved place and add a visit with a date no later than today and an optional 1–5 star rating. Recording a visit changes Want to go to Been there. Your journal shows monthly statistics and top picks. Choose a poster template, export it as an image, then save it or use the iOS share sheet.
How do hellos and messages work?
Explore members by city, cuisine, and availability. Choose a specific hello topic and send it; sent hellos appear in your history. A conversation opens only after an explicit accept. You can block, report, end a relationship, or delete a conversation at any time. Some versions may label certain screens as demonstrations; sample content is fictional and is not another member.
How do meal proposals work?
Create a proposal from Explore, a restaurant detail page, or your profile. Choose a date, time, and party size, then review the details before publishing. Availability and limits may vary by version or region. Dina does not guarantee that anyone will join, and it does not make a restaurant reservation for you.
How do I report or block someone?
Use Report or Block in a profile, conversation, or proposal. Reports on live member content are reviewed for safety and may lead to content removal or account restrictions. You can also email dinaandfeedback@dinekining.com with the relevant profile and a description of the concern. Do not send unnecessary private information. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
How do I export or delete my data?
Open Profile → Settings to export supported records or manage your account. To delete your account, choose Delete account and follow the confirmation steps. Save anything you want to keep first. Deletion removes your account and associated content from active systems within 30 days, subject to limited retention for safety, legal obligations, and backups described in the Privacy Policy. Copies you shared with other members, exported, or saved elsewhere are not removed by account deletion.
If you cannot access the app, email dinaandfeedback@dinekining.com from the address associated with your account.
How do I change app permissions?
Open iOS Settings and select Dina to manage Camera, Microphone, Photos, Location, and Notifications. Camera and microphone access support features you start, such as a profile photo or voice message. Photos access is used for images you choose to upload or posters you save. Location access supports approximate discovery and is not used in the background. You can deny optional permissions and continue using features that do not need them.
Is Dina free?
Yes. Dina has no subscriptions, in-app purchases, coins, balances, or paid unlocks, so there is nothing to restore.
Why is the app not loading?
Check your internet connection, close and reopen Dina, and make sure you have installed the latest available version. Confirm that you are signed in to the same account. If the problem continues, contact support with the details listed above. Do not create a new account to work around the issue, because that will not restore the original records.
I cannot sign in.
Use the same sign-in method you used to create the account. For Sign in with Apple, confirm that you are signed in to the correct Apple Account and that you are not hiding your email in a way that prevents matching the account. If you still cannot access the account, contact support and describe the sign-in method and approximate account creation date. Never send a password or verification code.
What should I do if I see abusive content?
Use Report or Block in the app. For urgent threats or content involving a minor, contact local emergency services or the appropriate authority first, then email support with the relevant profile and a concise description. Do not download or redistribute abusive material.
